C\u2019est le confort procur\u00e9 par le matelas en surface. Celui-ci peut \u00eatre tonique ou moelleux, voire tr\u00e8s moelleux. Le confort d\u2019accueil est d\u00e9termin\u00e9 en grande partie par le garnissage du matelas. Il s\u2019agit de la couche interm\u00e9diaire entre l\u2019\u00e2me du matelas et le coutil (l\u2019enveloppe en tissu). Un garnissage synth\u00e9tique, compos\u00e9 de mousse ou de fibres creuse, apportera un accueil tonique. Un garnissage naturel en coton, laine ou soie, offrira un accueil moelleux.<br \/>Le piquage du plateau est \u00e9galement un crit\u00e8re \u00e0 prendre en compte dans le confort d\u2019accueil. Plus ou moins serr\u00e9, il permet le maintien du garnissage en place. Pr\u00e9f\u00e9rez un piquage au dessin a\u00e9r\u00e9 pour un accueil moelleux.<br \/>Ainsi, si vous souhaitez une sensation ferme au coucher, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rez l\u2019accueil tonique. Si au contraire vous d\u00e9sirez un vrai lit douillet, optez pour le moelleux.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Le soutien, \u00e0 ne pas confondre avec l\u2019accueil, d\u00e9signe la fermet\u00e9 du matelas en profondeur. Il peut \u00eatre souple (moelleux pour un confort enveloppant), \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 (niveau de fermet\u00e9 moyen\u00a0: ni trop mou, ni trop ferme\u00a0!) ou ferme (pour un bon maintien du dos). Une densit\u00e9 minimum de 30kg\/m3 sera pr\u00e9conis\u00e9e pour un minimum de confort et une plus grande r\u00e9sistance dans le temps. On distingue 3 types de mousses :<ul><li>Polyester\u00a0: c\u2019est l\u2019entr\u00e9e de gamme, id\u00e9al pour un matelas d\u2019appoint.<\/li><li>Polyur\u00e9thane\u00a0: elle b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019une bonne densit\u00e9 et est plut\u00f4t ferme.<\/li><li>Visco\u00e9lastique (ou m\u00e9moire de forme)\u00a0: plus haut de gamme, elle r\u00e9agit \u00e0 la chaleur du corps. Elle \u00e9pouse ainsi parfaitement les courbes de votre corps, pour un confort optimal.
